2018 PROGRAM
BEACH CLEANUP
The first day of the Arm of Aid Program focused on helping the environment. Because Arm of Aid believes in keeping our environment clean, we joined the national beach cleanup in shuwaikh and collaborated with @moshayad. The turnout was successful and overwhelming, cleaning up the beach in less than 2 hours, when the scheduled duration was 3 hours.
ORPHANS
The second day of the Arm of Aid Program was stressed on the orphans. The Arm of Aid volunteering team was divided into two: Team A and Team B. Team A escorted the orphans in an outing and entertained them, meanwhile, Team B worked on setting up a playroom for the children at the orphanage.
PUBLIC GARDEN RESTORATION
The third day of the Arm of Aid program focused on helping the environment once again. Our volunteering team joined hands in cultivating the Abraj Park located in Adailiya, as well as paint the chairs with colors and life.
CHARITY SCAVENGER HUNT
The charity scavenger hunt was different amongst our other events. We combined competition and creativity to charity, not only for entertaining purposes, but to show that good deeds can be performed in such joyable ways. Our aim as Arm of Aid is to help the youth instill the love of volunteering in them, and we believe that introducing volunteering in such an entertaining manner is key to having the youth want to do it more. The hunt involved teams solving riddles that consisted of doing good deeds in several different areas near Kuwait City. In order to recieve a clue, the previous clue had to be done with proof. The fastest team to complete all clues had won.
HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN VISIT
For the final event of the Arm of Aid program before 2018 ends, we visited hospitalized children and went around giving each child toys and gifts. There was nothing more heart-warming than seeing the sick children’s eyes grow with excitement. Special thanks to @amirihospital and the Pediatric department for their generosity and help
ART FOR CHARITY
Our last activity was The Art for Charity Gallery, during which our main focus was to raise money while also encouraging the talented young artists of our country.
The gallery, which took place at AlHamra, starting February 4 until February 10, included almost 51 various art pieces from many young artists.
The artworks were showcased for sale, keeping in mind that the profit gained would go to charity.
